A Peachy Keen Farmers’ Market


Discover how much better it is to eat local and seasonal foods by visiting our Farmers’ Market this Sunday. We’re open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. giving you plenty of time to shop before heading out to spend the afternoon with family and friends.

This week, we’ll have loads of corn and fresh-picked Jersey tomatoes, in addition to our terrific selection of summer time produce. We’ll also cling, yellow cling and white peaches. Plus, Comeback Farm should have organic peaches.

Yoga

Get your week off to a great start with yoga in our wagon house at 8 a.m with certified yoga instructor Lauren Theis.

No registration is required. Yoga will run every Sunday through Aug. 27. Cost per session is $12.

Incorporating meditation, breathing techniques and some gently refreshing yoga flows, this class is suitable for all levels. Students should bring their own mat. Yoga will wrap up just as the Farmers’ Market opens, perfect for grabbing a yummy, local breakfast and your weekly produce!

Recipe

Mustardy Grilled Corn and Sausage Kabobs

What You’ll Need:

2 large ears sweet corn, cut into 2-inch pieces (about 8)
1 large green sweet pepper, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
1 14 – ounce package kielbasa, cut into 12 pieces
1/3 cup bottled Italian salad dressing
1 tablespoon yellow mustard

What To Do:

— Prepare grill for direct cooking over medium-high heat. Thread corn, kielbasa and sweet peppers on 4 long metal skewers.

— In a small bowl, whisk together Italian dressing and mustard; brush some of the mixture on the kabobs before grilling.

— Grill, covered, directly over medium- to medium-high heat for 8 to 12 minutes, turning and brushing occasionally with remaining dressing mixture, until vegetables are tender and charred.
