Meet our founders! This year marks a remarkable milestone in the history of Hunterdon Land Trust: our 30th anniversary.Three decades ago, a dedicated group of neighbors and community members came together in response to a growing concern for the loss of the natural landscapes and working farms that define our region. Thanks to their vision and determination, Hunterdon Land Trust has grown into a leading force for conservation.Today, we celebrate more than 12,700 acres permanently preserved, eight public preserves open for exploration and enjoyment, and a headquarters at Dvoor Farm that continues to evolve into a vibrant gathering place for our community. To honor this milestone, we were delighted to welcome many of our founders, along with former executive directors Margaret Waldock and Patti Ruby, to Hunterdon Land Trust's headquarters. Together, we reflected on the organization's journey over the past 30 years, shared memories from the early days, and looked ahead to the future. Emily Dunn, Executive Director, highlighted our current initiatives and outlined an inspiring vision for the years to come.We are deeply grateful for the foresight, leadership, and commitment of this extraordinary group, whose conservation work continues today through organizations such as New Jersey Conservation Foundation, Duke Farms, American Forest Foundation, Open Space Institute, and local environmental commissions. As we celebrate the accomplishments of the past 30 years, we invite you to help shape the next 30. Support the future of conservation, agriculture, and community in the Hunterdon County region with a donation to Hunterdon Land Trust today.www.hunterdonlandtrust.org/ways-to-give/Photo 1: Founding members of Hunterdon Land Trust in attendance at our recent gathering (L to R): Marie Newell, Martin Rapp, Barbara Wolfe, Roger Harris, Julia Allen, Bill Rawlyk, Alix Bacon, Allison Mitchell, Howard Parker (not pictured).Photo 2: Attendees (L to R): Emily Dunn, Executive Director; Nancy Cunningham, Board President; Martin Rapp; Marie Newell; Catherine Suttle, Director of Capital Projects; Margaret Waldock; Barbara Wolfe; Roger Harris; Julia Allen; Bill Rawlyk; Alix Bacon; Allison Mitchell; Patti Ruby; Howard Parker (not pictured). ...
