Welcome, Karen Forbes


Karen Forbes and PepperThe Hunterdon Land Trust welcomes Karen Forbes as Interim Executive Director. Karen will guide the search for a permanent Executive Director following Margaret Waldock’s acceptance of a position with the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. As the Interim Executive Director Karen will also help the Hunterdon Land Trust through a self-assessment process to best position the organization for continued growth and success. Karen Forbes is a nonprofit executive and social services leader with experience in all areas of operations, program development and service delivery. Having affiliated with The Nonprofit Center in early 2006, she functions as an interim executive for client organizations. Before joining The Nonprofit Center’s Interim Executive Director Program, Karen served as ED of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Montgomery County, where she dramatically increased revenue and services to children during her seven-year tenure. She previously was Director of Development at Metropolitan Career Center. Earlier in her career, she held management positions in PR, special events, training and program services with Big Sisters of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, and Girls Scouts of Greater Philadelphia.
